Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about carbon credits and our platform
Carbon Credits
Carbon credits are tradable certificates representing the reduction of one metric ton of carbon dioxide emissions. They allow organizations and individuals to offset their carbon footprint by supporting environmental projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
When you purchase a carbon credit, you're investing in projects that reduce or remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. These projects, such as forest conservation or renewable energy initiatives in Uganda, have been verified to reduce emissions. Your purchase helps fund these projects while offsetting your own carbon footprint.
All projects on our platform undergo rigorous verification by accredited third-party organizations. This ensures that the carbon reduction claims are accurate and the projects meet international standards for environmental impact and sustainability.
